Technical Sales Training
I've been creating technical and sales training programs and content in the High Tech industry for over 15 years. I've used a host of tools to educate, motivate and inspire students such as: PowerPoint, Moodle eLearn, Captivate, Camtasia, Flash, SnagIt, Director, Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Sound Forge, Photoshop and Illustrator. I'm particularly good at collecting source material from stacks of technical documents, interviewing Marketing Managers, Engineer & sales people to distill the essential information into compelling training modules. eLearn Training Portal
Moodle based training platform used to train over 900 sales, field application engineers, distributors, Manufacturer's Reps and 3rd party design partners. I've captured some screen shots from my implementation you can "navigate" by clicking on the red arrows.
FPGA Device Training Module
This is the first of 10 training modules created for Distributor Field Applications Engineers. It uses stunning graphics, detailed slide notes and narrated audio to get the audience's attention and teach them about Field Programmable Gate Array technology, customer benefits, applications, and competitive positioning.
Software Tools Training Module
This training module covers the more sophisticated programs used to program FPGA devices - Power Calculator, Simultaneous Switching Output Analyzer and In-circuit Logic Analyzer. Many screen shots as well as labs are included to show the technical sales force how to do a demo of the software.
Semiconductor Device History
Targeted at Manufacturer's Rep salespeople, this training program was the first of 4 modules as part of a two day bootcamp to get the team up to speed quickly. Using plain language and simple analogies, it made the complex world of semiconductors easy to understand for this non-technical audience.
VHDL Intro Training
The best training is done in person because of the direct face to face communication and other things that an instructor can do to maximize retention. In this full day introduction to VHDL, a logic design programming language, labs, interactive questions from the instructor and big prizes to the best performers made for a very successful program. Actel Sales Process
Teaching sales people how to sell is a challenge because this audience tends to a very short attention span so the training needs to be very focused. I devised the "Actel Sales Process" with a 2 page laminated graphical summary of the entire process as well as worksheets to help them get through each step. The worksheet were central to the training as the sales people broke up into small groups to do exercises and come up with their list of customers, opening lines and selling strategies.
